Signs the file came from the wrong place
Most fake copies don't arrive looking fake. They arrive through a shortcut, and the shortcut is the warning sign.
- Someone sent it to you directly. A file shared in a WhatsApp or Telegram group, or by a stranger who "works with the app", has no reason to be the genuine build.
- It promises an edge. "Mod", "hack", "predictor" or "VIP signals" in the file name means somebody rebuilt the app to sell you something. No version of a random game can be predicted.
- It asks for money before you can play. The real app opens in practice mode for free. A copy that charges a fee before the first round is the scam itself.
- The name or icon is slightly off. Misspellings, a blurry logo or a second app name appearing after install are signs of a rebuild.
- It wants accessibility access. The genuine app never asks for it. Malware asks for it because it can read your screen.
What actually stands behind it
Not being on Google Play says nothing about an operator. Google doesn't list real money gaming apps in most of the world, India included. That's a policy written by a shop, and it applies to every app in the category.

The checks don't stop at the file
A verified build is half the job. The other half is what happens to the account afterwards, and it has nothing to do with APKs.
Sign in runs on your mobile number and an SMS code, so the account is only as safe as your phone. Lock the handset. Never read a code out to anybody, for any reason.
